Attaway was born November 3, 1879. In 1894 was baptised by Dr. Hall into the fellowship of the Newnan Baptist church. She was married to J.Lee Taylor on May 24, 1896, and died Feb 9, 1907. This is the data of a human existance, the chronicle of a young life, all the momentous happenings to an immortal soul; birth, baptism, following regneration, the spiritual birth that gives heirship to an imortal inheritance; wifehood, motherhood and finally death, the gate to eternity. But between the lines are the details of her life that these salient notes do not touch. Though fatherless at an early age, her hopeful nature gave her a happy, busy, cheerful girlhood. Early in life she married the man she had loved and gave a willing hand to helping him. Then came the care and anxiety of a mother for the little boy given them, and on whom will be the impress of her example and teachings all the days of her life and perhaps on and on after his span is spent. Early in life she became victim to a disease with sufferings so acute that at times even her cheerful nature faltered. Again and again the surgeon's knife seeked to remove the mortal malady that had fastened it's hold upon her. And almost to the last she kept a smiling face and cheerful manner when she knew the fatal touch had sapped the springs of life. Knowing that the silver cord was loosened and every tie fast breaking, she sought to cheer her family by having written words of comfort and hope to be read after her departure. So young to die and yet her own could not call back to suffering. Disease marred not her appearance and even in death the comelines of youth was on her face. At the Central Baptist church of which she was a member, her pastor, Dr. Hardaway, conducted the funeral ceremonies and then they laid her in her last bed. Long will her memory be a sweet savor to her beloved ones and a comfort that she rests in hope. A friend. ____ IN MEMORY OF GEO. W. GABLE Resolutions by Haralson Lodge No. 142 F. & A.M. Bro. Geo. W.
