GA NEWSPAPER NOTICES FROM "THE HERALD & ADVERTISER", Newnan, Coweta County, Georgia for APRIL 26th, 1907 NEWSPAPER Issue of Friday, April 26, 1907 HARALSON News DIED - - Mr. J.G. Cagle, died Sunday evening, after suffering for three weeks with typhoid fever. Mr. Cagle had lived in Haralson since 1881 except one year. He was a good man and believed in dealing honestly with all men white and colored. We will miss him and extend our sympathy to his bereaved family. ____ DIED - - After suffering nearly four months of stomach trouble and other complications, Mr. J.T. Crawford died today. He was a deacon of Haralson Baptist church and a most estimable man in all respects. The church has lost a valuable and useful member, his wife a devoted husband and the community a good citizen. We extend sincere condolence to the bereaved family. ___ DIED - - Mrs. F.P. Stubbs died suddenly Monday at her home near Farmdale. ___ NEWNAN HOME AFFAIRS Mrs. Roy Askew is visiting her sister at Augusta, GA. __ Mr. Howard Askew of Atlanta spent Sunday in the city. __ Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Hill are visiting relatives in West Point. __ Mrs. G.W. St. John is still quite ill at her home on Greenville street. __ Miss Susie Barr has returned from a protracted visit to relatives in New Orleans. ___ Miss Nettie Bess Fouche of McDonough is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Jas. E. Brown. __ Mrs. H. Abner Camp of Moreland has been visiting her sister, Mrs. I.N. Orr Jr. this week. ___ Mr. J.P. Askew and wife of St. Charles spent Saturday with their sister, Mrs. Roy Askew. __ Mrs. T.L. Camp who has been confined at home by illness for several weeks is now convalescent. __ Mrs. Calvin Holmes of Atlanta is here this week visiting her parents, Capt. and Mrs. Habersham King. __ Mrs. P.B. Murphey who was called to New York last week by the illness of her mother, Mrs. W.H. Burden, returned home last night. __ Mr. W.G. Camp who has been laid up the past month by illness is improved and his friends hope to see him out again soon. ___ Mrs. W.L. Bohannon of the third district has been quite ill for several days at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Nimmons. ___ Dr. E.L. Merrill of Senoia passed through the city yesterday enroute to Chicago, having been called there by the critical illness of his brother, Mr. H.E. Merrill. ___ Mrs. J.T. Williams has been chosen by Barlow Rebekah Lodge No. 47 as representative to the Rebekah State Assembly which will meet in Columbus the latter part of May. ___ Allen Palmer, the 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Palmer of Cedar Creek district, who was paralyzed in December 1905 by a fall from a tree, died last night. He was never able to walk after the accident which befell him and suffered greatly during the long period of confinement. The funeral occurred this afternoon, the interment being made in the family burying ground near the Palmer home. Rev. J.S.
