April 26, 1901 We have had some very disagreeable weather this past week. Mrs. W. A. Steed, of your city, spent Saturday and Sunday with Miss Mary Lou Harris. The many friends of Mr. Russell Hunter will be pained to learn of his serious illness. Messrs. Will Collins and John Haynes attended the Masonic lodge at Haralson Saturday night. Miss Georgia Scroggin, from near Newnan, is visiting her brother, Mr. Glenn O. Scroggin. Mr. W. H. Summer is erecting a store-house at this place. Quite a number of our people attended protracted services at the Senoia Baptist Church last week. Miss Mattie Collins, of Atlanta, will be the guest of Miss Nannie Collins next week. Mr. and Mrs. Will Benton are entertaining a charming young lady at their home. Gazzie Williams, a colored tenant on the farm of Bowers & Collins, has quite a curiosity in the way of a chicken, which has four well developed feet. Mr. Jim Harris, of Turin spent Wednesday in Paris. Mr. Jake Young and family attended the Overby-Gable nuptials at Sharpsburg last Wednesday. April 25th. Becky.
