Lanier Nursing Home following a short illness. Mrs. Ball was born in Coweta county May 27, 1890. She was a homemaker and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Newnan until she moved to West Point to live with her son in 1980. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Newnan Chapter. Graveside services were held November 28 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Dr. Hugh C. Peacock, Jr. and Dr. Gene Tyre officiating. Survivors include a son, G. Lamar Ball and his wife, Travah, of West Point; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Boynton Beers of Newnan; Mrs. Petronia Boynton Estes of Kent, Alabama; Mrs. Julia Boynton Davis of Gulfport, Mississippi; sister-in- law, Mrs. Lennah Ball Martin of Newnan; nieces and nephews.
