Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, at Doerun Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will be in Cool Spring Cemetery in Doerun. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Doerun Baptist Church. Born June 2, 1915, in Coweta County, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late Leola Hembree and Robert B. Posey. She was the owner of the flower shop in Doerun before moving to Oklahoma in 1978. She was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church and Doerun Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Willie Jo Brown. Survivors include a daughter, Glenda Brown Gismondi and husband Dr. Pedro of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a brother, Ellis P. Posey and wife Lilli Belle of Albany; sisters, Sara B. Coston of Albany and Catherine B. Tillery and husband Alton of Tifton; and three grandchildren, Dr. Mark David Gismondi and wife Tamara of Nampa, Idaho, and Michael Anthony Gismondi and Matthew Philip Gismondi, both of Oklahoma City, Okla. Memorials may be made to Lackey Manor Nursing Home, Baptist Retirement Center, 9700 Mashburn Drive, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73162. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
