COWETA County News

On last Sunday, a negro boy ten years old, son of Alexander Cole, was drowned 
in W. A. Smith's mill pond while taking a pleasure ride. The bottom of the 
boat burst loose and the boat sank and the boy was drowned. Another child of 
the same family died the same day and Sunday night, the mother of the two dead 
boys, gave birth to another.
