W. Dial After a lingering illness of many months, Mr. D. W. Dial breathed the last of earth Saturday morning, the 13th inst., at the age of sixty-six years. The deceased was highly esteemed by his neighbors and all those who knew him. The most of his life was spent in the neighborhood of where he died and a large family of children was brought up to honor his last days. A devoted wife and twelve children mourn his death. The funeral exercises were conducted at Emory Chapel cemetery Sunday morning by the Masonic fraternity, in the presence of a very large audience. The HERALD unites in condolence with the bereaved family. Additional Comments: Doctor Washington Dial married Rebecca Briscoe Wright Apr 11, 1844 in Coweta County, Georgia and they had thirteen children. He was a Sergent with the 66th Volunteer Regiment - Georgia Infantry - Company H - CSA. He and his wife are buried at Emory Chapel Cemetery - Coweta County, Georgia in unmarked graves.
