Our whole community was saddened last Saturday by the death of Miss Annie Glass. This young lady had been an almost constant sufferer for years, but her wonderful Christian faith and fortitude had won the admiration of those who knew her. Day by day she lived a life snow-white in its goodness and purity, and at last her work was done, she passed away in peace. The funeral service was held at the Baptist church last Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, and was conducted by Rev Mr Blalock, assisted by Bro Ham. A large concourse of friends and loving sympathizers were present, and the story of her beautiful life will linger for many a day as an inspiration to the hearts of those who heard it. Thus passed heavenward one who had “fought the good fight and kept the faith.”
