She married her first cousin, Joseph Cornelius Hardy. They were the Grandchildren of Coweta County Pioneer, Aquilla Hardy, and his first wife, Mary (Polley) Steward. Mary was the daughter of Rufus Wesley Hardy and Lucy Mariah Bailey. Joseph was the son of William Jesse Hardy and Lucy Elizabeth Malviney "Betsy" Shell.
