Last Thursday, after a severe and lingering illness, Mrs. Wm. Hendrix, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carey Hughen, died. She joined the Methodist church when a child, and her life was that of a devoted Christian. For threescore years she had lived to bless the world. How comforting to be her aged husband it must have been to hear her say, "I see my Savior." five children preceded her to the grave, while four daughters and three sons are left. A Christian life more beautifully and modestly adorned than hers is seldom found. The funeral was preached at the Methodist church by Rev. J. E. England.
