The Herald and Advertiser, Newnan, GA, November 6, 1914 

Mr. R. W. Hendrix, one of Coweta's oldest and best-known citizens, died on 
Friday last at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Prince Cates, at Madras. "Uncle 
Billy," as he was familiarly known, was 88 years of age, and leaves several 
grown children. The funeral and interment took place Saturday morning, at 
Moreland.
