Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday at the chapel of J. Austin Dillon co. The Rev. Jimmie Mayo will officiate. Burial will be in the College Park Cemetery. A native of Old Campbell County, Mr. Hughie had lived most of his life in Atlanta. He was a mason and a member of the Junior Order, a secret society. He was a construction superintendent for the Henry C. Beck Company at the time of his death. Surviving are his wife, a son, Glen Hughie of Decatur; seven sisters, Mrs. J. F. Daniel, Mrs. W. J. Robinson, Mrs. L. W. Thomas and Mrs. J. W. Grifffith of Atlanta, Mrs. Gertrude Jones and Mrs. Bill Johnson of Shreveport, La., and Mrs Willie Mae Daniel of Thomaston; two brothers, P. T. Hughie and B. E. Hughie of Atlanta, and two grandchildren.
