COWETA County News

Since our last writing, a sad gloom has overshadowed this whole community in 
consequence of the death on the 8th of Mrs. Sarah Kelly, wife of W. H. Kelly. 
The deceased had many relatives in Carroll county who will receive this sad 
intelligence with heavy hearts. Just before she died, she reached out her hand 
and said that she was in heaven and had met her mother who died but a short 
time ago, and that they were shaking each other's hands, and that she 
recognized two of her little children who died some years ago. Oh, what a 
blessed thought to think that our loved ones return to earth to escort us 
across the chilly waters of death. To mourning friends, we tender our 
condolence.
