Senoia News

A very sad tragedy was enacted near Senoia last Saturday morning [Jan 26].  
Mrs. Othel Morgan shot herself with a pistol, dying about an hour later from 
the effects of the wound thus inflicted.  Mrs. Morgan had been in poor health 
for several months, which caused her mind to become impaired, and while 
suffering from temporary aberration she took her own life.  She had returned on 
Wednesday previous from a visit to her father's family at Dodson, where she 
spent some time.  She leaves two little children, the youngest of whom is only 
six months old.  To the heartbroken husband and many sorrowing relatives and 
friends, we extend sincere condolence.

Additional Comments:

Altha was the first wife of Othel Morgan.  After her death, he married Lula 
Addy Swygert, daughter of Morgan Govan Swygert & Martha Madora "Dora" Nixon, on 
December 4, 1901 in Coweta Co., Georgia.
