Mrs. C. B. Nixon, 85, Succumbs in Haralson

Mrs. C. B. Nixon, 85, of Haralson, died yesterday at her residence.

Services will be today in Haralson, the details to be announced.

Surviving are three sons, E. H. Nixon, of Little Rock, Ark.; H. W. Nixon, of 
Atlanta, and A. O. Nixon, of Haralson; three daughters Mrs. P. H. Advy (s/b 
Addy), of Haralson; Mrs. A. P. Weldon, of Atlanta, and Mrs. T. R. Stevens, of 
Atlanta; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nixon was a member of the Haralson Methodist Church.

Mrs. C. B. Nixon is Ida Elizabeth Pennington, daughter of Silas Mathew 
Pennington and Frances Emily Stewart.

She was born 4 Jul 1860 in Coweta Co., Georgia.   She married Charles Bartow 
Nixon on 4 January 1877.  Ida and Charles are buried at Haralson United 
Methodist Church Cemetery in Haralson, Coweta Co., Georgia.

They were the parent of 10 children:  Dora Harrison "Minnie" Nixon (m. Patrick 
Henry Addy), Curtis M. Nixon (never married), Bloomer Julius Nixon (m. Nannie 
Alma Williams), Otis Florence Nixon, Sr. (m. Lucy Janet Lanier), Louelle Effie 
Nixon (did not marry), Alvin Freeman Nixon (m. ??), Essie Evelyn Nixon (m. 
Andrew Paul Weldon), Ellis Homer Nixon (m. Mary Hannah Meek), Lois 
Carolyn "Carrie" Nixon (m. T. R. Stephens), and Hardy Walter Nixon, Sr. (m. 
Vessie Ree Baughan).
