The deaths occurred at the base hospital. They are as follows: Private Floyd Ingram, Fifth Replacement regiment, Battleboro, Vt.; Bennie Lamineck, Second Replacement regiment, Midland City, Ala.; James Lee, First Replacement regiment, Dawson, Ga.; BEN L. NIXON, First Replacement regiment, Senoia, Ga.; William Farrell, Fifth Replacement regiment, New York city; Fulton Reynolds, Fifth Replacement regiment, Earlville, Ala. - - - "The New Georgia Encyclopedia" World War I in Georgia The large national army cantonment at Camp Gordon, which opened in July 1917, was located in Chamblee, northeast of Atlanta, and was the training site of the famous Eighty-second All-American Division.
