NICK NORTH DIES IN NEWNAN
 
Nicholas Lamar North, 73, former state senator, died at his home Thursday 
night.  A retired banker, Mr. North served as state bank examiner for many 
years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was in the state senate 
in 1929-30.  Born in Senoia, he was the son of the late Dr. A.C. North and 
Mrs. Martha Yates Bailey North.  Surviving are his wife the former Carrie L. 
Gibson, two daughters, Miss Louisa North and Mrs. Glenn Ware;  one son, Gibson 
L. North;  one sister, Mrs. B.F. Cole Sr.; and one brother, H.H. North of 
Newnan.
