The bereaved family and relatives have our sincere sympathy." (Note - it was spelled with an "M" not an "N" in the obituary. An original was personally viewed by me on July 28, 1999 at the Coweta Co. Genealogical Society in Grantville, GA. v.f.) Additional Comments: He is a son of Joseph Nixon and Martha Ward. His widow, Sallie, filed on 5 Oct 1911 for a pension in Coweta Co., GA. She stated Samuel died in February 1899. "The Herald & Advertiser" Newnan, Georgia Friday, March 15, 1901 Letters of Dismission GEORGIA - Coweta County: R. J. Nixon, administrator of the estate of Samuel Nixon, deceased, having applied to the Court of Ordinary of said county for letters of dismission from his said trust, all persons concerned are required to show cause in said court by the first Monday in June next, if any they can, why said application should not be granted.
