Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Friday at Spring Hill Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. A native of Newark, NJ, Mr. Standhardt came to Atlanta during the period of World War I. He played the violin at the Piedmont Hotel and other Atlanta theaters and hotels for a number of years. In 1920 he was first violinist with the Keith Vaudeville at the Lyric Theater and also performed under the direction of Enrico Leide at the Fox Theater. For many years, Mr. Standhardt was considered one of the best violinist in Atlanta. After the disappearance of Vaudeville, Mr. Standhardt had experimented in the field of cereal production at Columbus. During the early 1930's, he put out apple chips and a cereal called N.R.G. or "Energy". A member of the Atlanta Federation of Musicians, Mr. Standhardt had been retired for several years. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Miss LuRene Standhardt of Atlanta; three sons, William E and Donald L Standhardt of Decatur; a sister Mrs. F. W. Schofield of Douglasville, two grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
