S. A. Widow's Pension of Nancy T. (Harris) Boler-Hardy, filed 1884-1885 in Coweta Co., Ga. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Georgia, Coweta County In person before me came Nancy T. Hardy who swears that on the 21 day of November 1830 she then Nancy T. Harris she was married to B. B. Boler [License - Elbert Co., Ga.], and she lived him ashis wife until the 7th day of April 1862 when the said B. B. Boler died; that she married Aquilla Hardy on the 6th day of Feby 1873 [Coweta Co.] and lived with said Aquilla Hardy as his lawful wife until the 29th day of April 1884 when the said Aquilla died. That the said Aquilla was married once before and that his said wife, to-wit: Polly Hardy [nee Mary "Polley' Steward], died on or about the 4th day of Jany 1869. Hardy, Pension Claim No.____________ ON THIS 12 day of May A. D. 1885, personally appeared before me, a Notary Public in and for the aforesaid County, duly authorized to administer oaths, Nancy T. Hardy, a resident of Kedron, in the County of Coweta, and State of Georgia, whose Post Office address is Kedron, well known to me to be a reputable and entitled to credit, and who, being duly sworn, declares in relation to the aforesaid case as follows: That she is unable to comply with the requirements of the Pension Office as to: her marriage with Aquilla Hardy late of said County deceased for the reason that: the officiating minister to-wit: Rev. Geo. E. Smith failed to return the marriage license and certificate to the Ordinary of said County for record and the said Geo. E. Smith being now dead. She respectfully requests the testimony of Robt. L. Smith of said County and of William Smith of same place be accepted in lieu of the certificate of record the testimony of said minister.
