The spacious parlors were decorated in palms and flowers over which the lighted candles shed the softest glow. The bower was a mass of beautiful ferns and from the center a large wedding bell of white chrysanthemums was suspended, under which the ceremony was performed. At the first strains of the wedding march Misses Sasser and Edwards came down the stairway bearing ribbons to form the pathway; then the bridesmaids, Misses Stella Hogg, Ruth Whatley, of Newnan, and Faye Duncan, of Douglasville, followed. The bride, who entered with her sister, Miss Jessie Hodnett, maid of honor, wore and exquisite white crepe de chine made princesse and trimmed in white filet lace, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and swansonia. The bride had been a very attractive member of the younger set and looked very sweet and girlish in her bridal robes. Little Miss Dora Merrill preceded the bride, carrying the ring on a white satin pillow. The bride was met at the altar by the groom and his best man, Dr. W. C. Hodnett. The ceremony was followed by a brilliant reception, after which Mr. and Mrs. Brandenburg left for an extended trip. On their return they will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. George Hodnett for some time. On Tuesday afternoon Miss Stella Hogg complimented Miss Faye Hodnett with a linen shower at the home of Mrs. Grace Row. After a very pleasant game of hearts little Miss Merrill placed a trunk before the prospective bride. When she unpacked the dainty lingerie her friends gathered around and showered her with rice. Misses Monica Harris, of Carrollton; Faye Duncan, of Douglasville, and Ruth Whatley, of Newnan, are being pleasantly entertained as Miss Faye Hodnett's guests. Friday afternoon Miss Florene Watts entertained at two tables of bridge for Miss Faye Hodnett. After the game a delicious salad course and hot chocolate was served.
