This file was contributed by: gary best pro5050@msn.com ==================================================================== Monday February 7 1853 court of ordinary sat according to ajournment presentment B H Mitchell ordinary Georgia Coweta, County By the ordinary of said county 1st Monday in Feb 1853 Whereas Edward Adcock makes application for letters of guardianship for A J Best, Louisa Best, Littleton Best, Christopher Best, Harris, Sarah Best, and Sion Best minor orphans of Harris Best late of said county deceased & it appearing to the court that the said Edward Adcock had given notice of said application in terms of the law, therefore it is hereby ordered that letters of guardianship be given to the said Edward Adcock for the said minors upon his giving bond & security as required by Law Order Granted B H Mitchell Ordy December Term 1853 page 257 The Court of Ordinary sat according to ajournment present Batty H Mitchell presiding Georgia Coweta, County By the ordinary of said court December term 1853 It appearing to the Court that Edward Adcock has been appointed guardian of the persons and property of the minor orphans of Harris Best late of said County deceased and it also appearing that the security on his bond as guardian is insufficient it is therefore ordered that the said Edward Adcock be notified to be and appear at the next term of this Court to be held on the second Monday in January next then & there to give other & better security on his letters of guardianship for said minors will be revoked & another guardian be appointed in his stead Order Granted December Term 1853 B H Mitchell OCC page 43 Guardian's Bond State Of Georgia, Coweta County Know all men by these presents, That we, Edward Adcock, George W.
