About half after ten oclock in the morning of the fourth instant some eighteen or nineteen hours before his death in perfect possession of his mental faculties, he, the said Abraham Gray, in being notified by the said Wm Westmoreland the there were persons or witnesses present to listen and pay attention to whatever he might wish to say in relation to the disposition of his property, he the said Abraham Gray sat up in his bed and looked upon the above mentioned witnesses who were standing in and around his bed, and stated that he wished to make a verbal will disposing of his property. He then said that his will and desire was that Benjamin Gray should act as trustee for his daughter Nancy Sansom formerly Nancy Gray and that he willed to the said Benjamin Gray the one fifth part of his whole estate to be held by him the Said Benjamin in special trust for the sole and separate use and behoof of his said daughter Nancy and the balance of his estate should be equally divided between his other four children and after getting through with the forgoing statement the said Abraham Gray stated that that was his will this 6th August 1856 Wm Westmoreland J M Jones R B Bridges Georgia Coweta County Court of the Ordinary September Term 1856 In open court personally came William Westmoreland, James M Jones and Richmond B Bridges when being duly sworn depose and say that the foregoing is the verbal will of Abraham Gray late of said County deceased that the same was made freely voluntarily and of his own accord without any compulsion or influence whatever and at the time of making the same the said Abraham Gray was of sound disposing mind and memory and that ? were at the making thereof.
