Mitchell ORIDINARY FOR SAID COUNTY TO Harrison Nixon GREETING: Whereas William J., Joseph P. and Francis Nixon Orphans of Permelia Nixon deceased, possess in their own right of considerable estate, by means whereof the power of granting the Guardianship of said Orphans to me is manifestly known to belong, and for the better securing the estate, and more ample maintenance and education of said Orphans, and from the integrity and confidence reposed in you, I do hearby commit the tuition, education, and guardianship of said Orphans to you, the said Harrison Nixon (you assenting thereto by the acceptance of these letters) herein charging you that you maintain them in meat, drink, clothing, and lodging; that you cause them to be educated in such manner as shall be suitable to their interest and circumstances; and that you inquire into and take charge of their estate, both real and personal, and all other things do, which by law you ought to do, for your said wards. A true and perfect account of all which you shall render into the Court of the Ordinary, on the first term of every year during which your continuance in office -- and I do hearby constitute and appoint you, the said Harrison Nixon Guardian of said Orphans during their minority.
