First I commit myself to the Mercy of God in the faith of his Son Jesus Christ my Saviour. 2nd I give bequeath and devise to my loved wife Elizabeth the whole Estate real and personal left to her by her former Husbands last will & testament ~ Also out of my own Estate I give bequeath & devise to my Said wife absolutely in fee and in lieu of Dower Lot of land Number One hundred & one in the Sixth district of said County (No 101 - 6 Dist Coweta) a Negro girl named Vandousan My Carriage & pair of horses such stocks & plantation household & kitchen furniture as shall be necessary for her Use & comfort and as she may select & choose and five hundred ($500.00) Dollars in money. 3rd I devise to Stephen D. Smith & William B. Parks lots of land numbers thirty (30) and thirty five (35) and a fraction of lot number thirty one (31) of forty acres more or less all in the fourth district of said County whereon my daughters Mary D. Storey and Eliza C. Carter now reside to be held by said Smith & Parks in Special Trust for the use and behoof of my said daughters for the separate life of either of them & for the use & behoof of their Children living now or to be born, and at the death of either of my said Daughters the said lands to be equally divided half & half and to be conveyed by the said Smith & Parks to the right heirs of each ~ I further give & bequeath to the said Smith & Parks all the personal property Slaves or other now in possession of my said Daughters Mary D. and Eliza C. and my Daughters Lucy Glenn and Elizabeth W. Barrett or their husbands as loans from me heretofore made to be held in life Special Trust for the separate use & behoof of my said Daughters and their Children severally to each of them and their Children and at the death of either of them to be conveyed absolutely to their right heirs by said Trustees ~ 4th Fourth Each of my Children that have heretofore received any advancement in money or other thing or property from me on their marriage or Separate Settlement in life or by virtue of this writing shall make a full and complete return thereof thereof on oath to my Executors and no one of them is to receive or have any thing further of my Estate until each and every one of My Children Shall have first been made equal out of my Estate with the most favored of them who have been so advanced the property so advanced to be fairly revalued at the time of advancement. 5 Fifth After said equalization I will that all the remainder of my Estate real and personal be equally divided share and share alike among my several Children, Sons and Daughters. 6 Sixth It is my will that whatever amounts in money or property may be allotted to either one of my said Daughters Lucy, Elizabeth W., Mary D. or Eliza C. by way of effecting said equalization & on the final distribution after said equalization shall be held by the said Smith & Parks in Special Trust for my said Daughters severally and their children to and for their separate several use & behoof and on the death of either of my said Daughters to be conveyed by said Trustees to the right heirs of said Daughters deceased Generation. 7 Seventh Hereunto I ordain and appoint as my Executors to this my last will & testament my sons William B. Parks, Francis Parks & Stephen D. Smith. Witness my hand and seal this 24th October 1849.
