Item first - I wish my body decently buried and my Soul I resign to God who gave it. Item 2nd - I will that after my death, all my effects, whether money, notes or any other species of property - both real and personal, be equally divided between my daughters, Amy Brown, Letty Hendrix, Frances Williams and my Son, Green Karr, the amount of each share to be to my said daughters - Amy Brown, free from the use, disposition or control of her present or any future Husband to her and her children after her in fee Simple, The portion to my daughter - Letty Hendrix, the same way, free from the control of her present, or any future Husband to her and her children after in fee Simple. Also the portion to my daughter Rachael Williams in the same way, free from the control, disposition or liability of her present or any future husband to her and her children after her in fee Simple. To my Son, George Karr, I have already given him his portion, also my daughter Charity Bell, also my grandson Johnand his brother Damas Kees Brown, Same of my daughter, Mary Brown, deceased, have had their share given to their father David Brown. Also my daughter, Sarah Blair, I have given her portion. Also John A., my son, I have given him his portion. Item 3rd - I bequeath to my grandsons the children of Mary Brown, deceased, one dollar each after my death, also give to the following children, one dollar each - John A., George, Charity Bell, Sarah Blair, one dollar each after my death. Item 4th - I wish all my just debts paid, if any, at my death. I appoint and ordain my esteemed friend, W.C. Smith, my Executor, to execute and enforce this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this 30th day of August 1859. John KARR (His mark) Signed Sealed and acknowledged before me, N.G. Allen F.M. Polk Test. A. Hill W.C. Smith Additional Comments: Page 313, Will Book B, Coweta County Court of Ordinary At Chamebers, October 26th 1868 In person came W.B. Smith, the Executor named in witness last will and testament of John Karr, late of said county, deceased and the witnesses being N.G. Allen, Anderson Hill, W.C. Smith & Francis M. Polk. Which Francis M. Polk being duly sworn, depose and says he saw John Karr, the testator, sign seal and publish the instrument now presented as his last will and testament freely, voluntarily and of his own accord, without any compulsion or influence whatever. That at the time the Testator was of sound mind and disposing memory, that said deponent signed said will as a witness in the presence of said testator and at his request and special instance and in the presence of the other subscribing witneses and that he is informed that Anderson Hill is dead and N.G. Allen is not in this County or in the State, as witness knows, and that he is informed that W.C. Smith is in the City of Atlanta on official business.
