Crawford COUNTY GA Cemetery McNeice Family File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by LAndrewssr@aol.com Lewis Andrews http://files.usgwarchives.net/ga/crawford/cemeteries/mcneice.txt OLD BETHEL CEMETERY EST. 1849 Site of Old Bethel Methodist Church This cemetery is located on Causey Rd. in Crawford County, Georgia. The Cemetery is hard to find being about one thousand (1000) feet off Causey Rd. From Knoxville, Ga. take Ga 42 South for 3.5 miles to Causey Rd. (Dirt Road) turn left for 1.9 miles to the drive on the left side of road. I have attempted to place those buried here in family groups, and this list may not represent a true picture. At the entrance to the Cemetery is a large marker with the following inscription: On land donated by Vincent (Jack) Nichols, Born in 1804. died 1876. He sawed the timber which was donated by himself and others in the community to build the Church. His residence, grist mill, and saw mill were located near by. He was a prominent Church community leader a mason, a justice of the peace, and served Crawford Co. as one of it's leading citizens. He was church C.L. until his death. The Nichols family were active Church members, and at one time numbered 22 on roll. He and his wife, Elizabeth had seven known children Elizabeth, Daniel, James, Nancy, Jobez Jackson, Joseph Warren and Robert Vincent. This marker was erected by decendants of Vincent Nichols in his memory Erected Oct 1992 NO NAME DOB DOD 01 SMITH, Addie A. 1905 1932 01 SMITH, Fannie Alberta 1883 1932 02 SMITH, Ollie E. 1866 1917 02 SMITH, Clevie Joe 1915 1916 02 SMITH, Jewel 1913 1914 02 SMITH, Lula V. 1902 1918 02 SMITH, Branch 1896 N/D 02 SMITH, Alice Virginia 1868 N/D 02 SMITH, Brantley E. 1858 1925 03 HUDSON, W.
