This indenture made this the 19th day of July in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four Between
Briton M. Chapman of Henry county and state aforesaid of the
one part and Samuel Montgomery of Crawford county and state
aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that in and for in
consideration of the sum of forty dollars to me in hand paid
and before the sealing and delivery of these presents hat
this day bargained sold and by these presents do sell
bargain sell and convey unto Samuel Montgomery a certain
tract or lot of land known and distinguished in the plan of
one hundred and eighty two (182) in the fourteenth district
of formerly Muscogee now Crawford and Tolbot counties To
have and to hold the sd. Lot of land together with all and
singular the rights members and appertanances thereof
whatsoever unto the sd Samuel Montgomery his heirs and
assigns forever against the claims of himself or any other
person or persons whatsoever claiming the same of which I
the said Briton M. Chapman from himself his heirs forever
defend unto the sd. Samuel Montgomery his heirs forever in
fee simple the day and year above written
