Wright on 15 Dec 1859 Marriage Contract Deed Deed Book G Pages 328-330 (?) - Illegible words State of Georgia, Crawford County This Indenture of three parts made and entered into this the Fifteenth day of December Eighteen Hundred fifty nine (1859) between MARTHA HARRIS of the first part, WASHINGTON F. VINING of the Second part and STEPHEN S. WRIGHT of the third part --- Witnesseth that whereas a marriage is shortly to be solemnized between of the first and second part and whereas the party of the first part is seized and possessed in her own wright of divers goods chattels lands and tenements and (?) of an undivided interest in the Estate of her deceased husband ORRIN Q. S. HARRIS all of which It is desired to have secured to her sole and separate use, and the use of such other persons as may be herein after named and in such manner as may be herein after specified - So that the marital rights of the said WASHINGTON F. VINING may in no manner whatsoever attach to the same or any part thereof in case such marriage should be had solemnized. Now therefore as well as in consideration of the premises aforesaid as the sum of Five Dollars in hand paid by the said party of the Third part to the said parties of the first and second part at and before the sealing & delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said party of the first part by and with the consent of the said party of the second part have bargained sold & levied and conveyed and doth by these presents bargain sell & levi and convey unto the said party of the third part all the lands tenements and (??), also all the goods, chattels and (chorsis?) in action now owned and possessed or unto which the said party of the first part may now have any claim or title of any nature or kind whatsoever and especially the undelivered interest of the party of the first part in and to the Estate of her deceased husband ORRIN Q. S. HARRIS and also all the property of what nature or kind so ever that may accrue to the said party of the first part during the contemplation (?) aforesaid either by gift purchase will inheritance of in any other manner whatsoever - To have and to hold the (?) unto him the said party of the third part and is successors to the sole and separate use of the said party of the first part during her natural life and at her death to such person or persons as she may appoint by deed or will duly executed in her lifetime and in default of such appointment then to such issue of hers as may be living at her death- In testimony whereof the said parties of the first second & third parts have each severally hereunto set their hands and seal the day & year first above written --- Martha Harris (seal) W.
