This Indenture made this the twenty first day of March eighteen hundred and 
thirty six between James Huckaba of the county and state aforesaid of the one 
part and Jonathan Ross of the county of Crawford and state aforesaid of the 
other part.
Witnesseth that the said James Huckaba for and in consideration of the sum of 
one thousand and fifty Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing 
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath 
granted bargained sold and conveyed and do by these presents grant bargain 
sell and convey unto the said Jonathan Ross his Heirs and assigns all that 
tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Crawford but 
in the county of Houston at the time of survey containing two hundred two and 
a half acres more or less Known and distinguished as Lot No. one hundred and 
eight in the seventh Dist. of said county.  To Have and to Hold said tract or 
parcel of land unto him the said Jonathan Ross his Heirs and assigns together 
with all and Singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same 
in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof 
forever in fee Simple.
And the said James Huckaba for himself his Heirs executors and administrators 
the said bargained premises unto the said Jonathan Ross his Heirs and assigns 
will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves 
and against the claim of all other persons whatever.
In witness whereof the said Huckaba hath hereunto
set his hand and seal.
