Witnesseth that the said Allen Marshall for and in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Malachi Gray the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth give grant bargain and sell alien (enfroff?) release and confirm unto the said Malachi Gray this heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being In the second district of formerly Houston now Crawford County the same being the part of a Lot set forth known and distinguished in the plan of the said District as Lot Number One Hundred and forty two (no 142) and the north half or part of said Lot containing One Hundred and nine acres To have and to hold the above bargained Land and premised to the only proper use and behalf of him the said Malachi Gray his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Allen Marshall for himself his Heirs Executors and administrators doth further covnant and affix to and with the said Malachi Gray his Heirs Executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend the right and title of the above bargained Said premises from the claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever.
