This Indenture made this twenty second day of August
 eighteen Hundred and thirty three between Washington Preston of the one part Elikaim Rhodes of the other part and of both of the state and county aforesaid witness that the said Washington Preston for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred seventy dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Elikaim Rhodes a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the seventh district of originally Houston now Crawford County known and distinguished in plan of said district by number one hundred and eighty eight to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land which contains two Hundred two and a half acres with all and singular the rights members and apertanances there unto in any wise belonging unto him the said Elikaim Rhodes his heirs and assigns for their own proper use Bought and ___oof and the said Washington Preston unto the said Elikaim Rhodes his heirs and assigns will forever warrant and defend the aforesaid premaces from himself his heirs and assigns and free from the lawful claim of all other persons whatsoever in fee simple
In witness whereof the said Washington Preston hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written
