The swamp plantation has the advantage of any on the river, being the only place with high land in the swamp sufficient to secure stock in all freshet, and comfortable dry Dwellings for Negroes, with a well of good water. My farm is near Samuel Rutherford's, Flint River, Crawford county, who will show my place, receive bids in my absence, and so will my son, William Rutherford, Jr living on the place. I will also sell 25 negroes, in families or single, to suit purchasers, as likely as any body ever raised--all to pay my debts, and creditors will be paid as fast as sales are made.
