William Dent Death Victim

Crawford County Resident Passes at Roberta Home

William J. Dent, 87, life long resident of Crawford
county and a captain in the Confederate army, died at his
home in Roberta, at 12:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock Central
time, this afternoon from the residence.  Interment will
be in the Roberta cemetery.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a number of sons and
daughters and other relatives.  His surviving sons are:
Hoy Dent, Roberta; Walter B. Dent, Macon; Gardner L.
Dent, Macon.  Surviving daughters are: Mrs. I. P. Moore,
Muzella; Mrs. John W. McGee, Crawford county;  Mrs. J. S.
McGee, Roberta.  His brother E. E. Dent of Macon and his
sister, Mrs. J. L. Harrison, Muzella also survive and
besides a number of nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
J. L. Dent, J. T. Dent and James R. Hicks, Jr., all of
Macon are nephews of the deceased.  

Note: William was the eldest son of John W. Dent,
Crawford County Pioneer Settler.
