Swilling "Mac" McElmurray, 63, of Reynolds died Thursday,
August 2, 2001. Born in Bibb County on May 9, 1938, but he
lived in Taylor County most of his life. He attended The
Church in Butler and Providence Primitive Baptist Church in
Roberta. He had previously served as Game Warden in Taylor
County for seven years. He was preceded in death by his
father, J.C. McElmurray. Survivors include a son, Duane
McElmurray Morrow of Suwanee; his mother, Mattie Emma
McElmurray of Reynolds; and three grandchildren, Ramey
Morrow, Kiley Morrow, and Ryver McElmurray Morrow. Services
were held Sunday, August 5, 2001 at Providence Primitive
Baptist Church in Roberta, with burial in Roberta City
Cemetery. Goddard Funeral Home of Reynolds had charge of
arrangements.
