He was in his 26th year, a native of Crawford County and the first young man from that county to enlist in the army service since the beginning of the present war. For several months he has been located with his regiment at Camp Chickamauga, at which place he died following an acute attack of brights disease. The remains were brought back to Crawford County for interment. Miss Lilly Maude Anderson, who is a teacher in our school, and a relative of the deceased attended the funeral near Knoxville Sunday.
