Item 1. It is my will and desire that all my just debts should be paid. Item 2. I give to may son Benjamin Fudge one dollar. Item 3. I give to my son Solomon Fudge one dollar. Item 4. I give to my son David Fudge one dollar. Item 5. I give to my daughter Martha ___ one dollar. Item 6. I give to my son Jacob Fudge one dollar. Item 7. I give to my beloved wife Elizabeth Fudge two negros (vs) Andrew a man and Ann a girl and the land I now live on which contains one hundred and fifty acres more or less and also our lot of land known by lot # one hundred and seventy two in the seventh district originally Houston now Crawford County and also all the money that is due me at my death after my lawful debts are paid and two feather beds and all my house hold and kitchen furniture and all of my stock of horses and all my stock of hogs and cattle, plantation tools and blacksmith tools and ox cart and riding carriage and also my cow and fodder to his own proper use. Item 8. I give to my daughter Ann Caroline Fudge one negro boy by the name of Charles and one girl by the name of Mariah and one lot of land know by Lot # one hundred and eighty one in the seventh district originally Houston now Crawford County also one bed and furniture. It is my wish that Elizabeth Fudge have the control and management of all the property herein devised to her and my daughter Ann Caroline until my said daughter Ann Caroline arrives to lawful age or marries and that my said daughter Ann Caroline be maintained, clothed and educated out of the proceeds of both legacies (viz) hers and her mothers equally. Item 9. I do hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Fudge Executrix to this my last will and testament. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the thirteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty. Ellis Codicil: Whereas by a part of the eight item of the following will I, said Jacob Fudge, bequeath to my daughter Ann Caroline Fudge a negro girl named Maria and where as it was and is my will and desire that my said daughter shall have all the increase of said negro girl Maria but the words future increase being omitted and said negro girl Maria having since had a girl child named Eleanor I do ___distinctly understood that I do hereby give and bequeath to my said daughter Ann Caroline the before mentioned negro Maria and her daughter Eleanor together with all their future increase. In witness ___ of the said Jacob Fudge have hereunto set his hand and seal this 31 day of March AD 1841 Will was proven 24th February 1842
