Signed 3 May 1830 GEORGIA ) CRAWFORD COUNTY) Be it remembered that I Amos Hicks being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Hicks one hundred acres of land be the same more or less it being the undivided east half of a certain tract or lot of land situate in the third district in the county of aforesaid known and distinguished in the plan of said district by the number forty one to be at her exclusive disposel in any manner she may think proper. I further give her in care and for benefit all the rest of my estate both real and personal (except as herein after excepted) until my youngest child shall arrive to the age of twenty one years at which time I will that all my estate both real and personal may be equally divided (by sale or otherwise as the parties at interest may think proper) between my beloved wife and all my children reserving to her the sum of two hundred dollars over and above an equal share and also the sum of two hundred dollars to each of my children that have not been paid that sum to be paid either in money or some of my personal estate to each respectively as they may severaly arive to age of twenty one years and I hereby appoint my beloved wife Mary Hicks to execute this my last and only will.
