Deed Book D Page 466, dated 21 October 1845 GEORGIA (CRAWFORD COUNTY) Know all men by these presents that I Mary Hicks of the county and state aforesaid for an in consideration of the natural love and affection that I bear toward my grandchildren George W. Holliman, John J. Holliman, Henrietta Holliman and Thomas J. Holliman, James A. Holliman and all other lawful heirs that my daughter Miriam Holliman may hereafter have. I have this day given and granted and do by these presents give and grant unto my said grandchildren their heirs and assigns, a certain tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the county of Houston, at the time of survey but now Crawford County and in the third district of said county and known in the plan of said district by No. 72 & 73 seventy-two and seventy-three, containing one hundred and fifteen acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land until my said grand children their heirs and assigns forever and I the said Mary Hicks for myself and my heirs, Executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto my said grandchildren will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty first (21st) day of October eighteen hundred and forty five. Executed in presence of John Stembridge W. F. Kennedy James W.
