Item 1st I wish my body to be interred in a manner suitable to my condition in life. My soul I hope & believe will return to the God who gave it through the merits of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. Item 2nd I will , bequeath & devise to my wife Mary Ann all of my property real & personal & -------in action for & during her natural life. Item 3rd On the death of my wife I wish my property divided as follows: To my sons Warren, Thomas & John, I give each 10 Dollars. To the children of my son Harrison I give each one dollars. To my daughters Fanny & Mary Emma I give each 10 Dollars - to my daughter Norah I give Fifty Dollars & to my daughter Elizabeth, I give One Hundred Dollars- All the balance & residue of my property I give absolutely to my daughter Ardella, wife of Brnnett A Hartley. Item 4th I appoint my soninlaw, Bennett A. Hartly, as Executor of this my last will and testament. Witness my hand & seal Feby 18th 1888 Samuel Lowe (symbol which I think indicates His mark) Signed, sealed, published & declared by Samuel Lowe to be his true last will and testament in the presence of the undersigned who signed the same as witnesses at the special ------------- &request of testator who signed the same as witnesses in presence of testator & in presence of each other.
