Hootman) CRISP COUNTY, GEORGIA INDENTURES - Elsie Lester to Sam Rucker STATE OF GEORGIA....CRISP COUNTY. KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: That Sam Rucker of the County and State aforesaid, party of the first part is held and firmly bound unto Elsie Lester party of the second part her heirs, and assigns, in the penal sum of $250.00....Dollars for the payment of which well and truely to be made, the said party of the first part hereby binds his heirs, executors and adminstrators, jointly, severally and firmly by these presents, signed with his hand and sealed with his seal, this 31 day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and 26. THE CONDITION of the foregoing obligation is, That whereas the party of the first part has this day agreed to sell to the said party of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Crisp, State of Georgia, and described as follows: City lot No. Seven (7) in Block No. One hundred sixty-five (165) in the City of Cordele Crisp County, Georgia, according to registered map of survey of said City....for the consideration of One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars, said sum to be paid as follows: Twenty Five Dollars 1st day of Dec.1926, and $25.00 1st day of Jan.1927, for which deferred payments the said party of the second part has given four promissory notes dated this day, bearing interest at the rate of 8 per cent per annum from this date until paid and stipulating tht said party of the second part shall pay attorneys fees and cost of suit, should suit be instituted. Now if the party of the second part shall well and truely pay the said several sums of money at the times specified, then the said party of the first part is bound to make, execute and deliver to the party of the second part of her assigns a good and sufficient title to the above described lot of parcel of land; but on failure of the said party of the second part to pay the said sums of money, or either of them, at the times specified, then the said obligation to be void and of no effect.
