The first regular election for the new county of Crisp, which will be held tomorrow, will develop a situation of vital interest to the new counties created by the Legislature. One of the first questions to be considered is as to how the vote will be consolidated. Since there is only one voting precinct in the county, the provisions being that the election must only be at the county seat, there is no qualified board of consolidation. The nest question will be as to whom these returns will be made. There will be no Ordinary, clerk or other officer until the result is declared and the Governor issues commissions. This is a question that has stumped Attorney General Hart, as the "Hall blanket bill" makes absolutely no provision that covers the present situation so far as the actual organization of the new counties is concerned, this bill is worthless. It seems to take everything at the wrong end faiks to settle some of the most important details. Under the circumstances, it is thought that the only way out of the difficulty is to have the returns made to Ordinary elect, Capt. S. W. Coney, and et him make proper certification to the Secretary of State. After this is done and the commissions are issued by the Governor, Capt. Coney will go to Americus and be sworn in by Judge Litteljohn of the Superior Court. Capt. Coney will then be qualified to swear in all the other officers, and the machinery of the new county of Crisp can be set going at once. It is thought that there will be a great deal of interest in the election tomorrow. It is not expected that there will be more than 1,000 votes cast. This is a busy time with the farmers, and being compelled to come to Cordele will work a hardship on some thatwill be sufficient to keep them from voting.
