H. Mercer. The meeting was called to order by the president, three song selections were sung. Roll called with Mrs. J. M. Adkins, chairman. Poultry tips for June was given by Mrs. Jim Easom. We were glad to welcome the ladies of the Bridges community with us. Practical Helps on Jelly Making was given by Mrs. S. D. Adkins. Some interesting recipes on fixing blackberries were given by different ladies. First, Canned blackberries, by Mrs. Murray. Second, blackberry jam and preserves, by Mrs. R.G. Easom. Third, blackberry juices, by Mrs. J. W. Adkins. The recipe for making sauerkraut was given by Mrs. J.H. Mercer. The meeting was then turned over to Miss McGee, she gave an interesting demonstration on making Sauerkraut and blackberry juice. The meeting was then turned over to the social committee and several games and relays were enjoyed by all. After which the meeting was turned over to the hostess. A delicious salad plate with cake and berry juice was served. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. S. D. Adkins on the second Tuesday in July.
