Bowen died Saturday at twelve forty at her home at Arabi. She was fifty-eight years old and was the widow of he late Richard Bowen. She was born in Newton county but had resided at Arabi for the past sixteen years. Mrs. Bowen was a member of the Arabi Methodist church and was beloved by a wide circle of friends. The following children, by a former marriage, survive: Homer Penn of Broxton; J. B. Penn and Frank Penn of Arabi, and Mrs. B. J. Jowers of Willachoochee. Two brothers, Ed Edwards of Dublin and George Edwards of Decatur, and one sister, Mrs. Ada Womack, of Covington, also survice. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock from the Arabi Methodist church, conducted by Rev. C. B. Ware of Warwick. Song selections were rendered by the church choir.
