                         FUNERAL FRIDAY FOR MRS. DOWDY
     Mrs. Elizabeth Dowdy, 74, died Thursday, April6, at 10:15 a.m. of heart
dropsy.Her husband preceded her in death two years ago, and since that time she
has resided near Vienna. Before her marriage she was Miss Elizabeth Lambert. She
was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
     Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. R. L. Harvey at Midway Methodist
church Friday April 7, at 2 p. m. Interment will be in the Dorough cemetery.
Akin Funeral Home will have charge.
     Mrs. Dowdy is survived by four daughters: Mrs. Laney Williford, Vienna,
Mrs. Dave Coleman, Cordele, and Mrs. H. D. Stevens, Ft. Valley; One son, Bill
Dowdy, of Brunswick.
