Whittington, 52, died early this morning at his home, 217 fifth Avenue, following an illness of several months. Mr. Whittington was yard conductor of the Georgia Southwestern & Gulf Railroad, with which he had been connected for fifteen years. News of his death shocked and greived his many friends. He is survived by his wife and four children, Misses Mildred and Aline Whittington, Joe Whittington and little Della Mae Finger; two brothers, F.J. Whittington, of Savannah, and E.W. Whittington, of Linwood, Pa. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at 11 o'clock in the chapel of the Albany Undertaking Company. The service will be conducted by the Rev. G.A. Cooper, pastor of the Byne Memorial Baptist Church. The body will be shipped to Cordele at 12:30 o'clock tomorrow, internment to follow in Cordele Cemetery. The following pall bearers are asked to meet at the chapel of the undertaking company at 10:35 o'clock tomorrow morning: Raymond Marks, C.R. Cherwood, George C. Thompson, E.M. Lewis, R.B.
