He was 91 years of age. Mr. James had been in declining health for some time and his last illness came Sunday afternoon. Funeral services Tuesday morning were conducted from the Zion Hope church, with Rev. Arthur Hosea, pastor of Zion Hope, and Rev. M. A. Hall, pastor of the Pateville Baptist church officiating. Mr. James was a member of the Baptist church and a much loved citizen of his community. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Robert C. Robertson, of Atlanta; four sons, C.W. James, Arabi; C. A. James, Cordele; B. T. James, Jacksonville, Fla.; and C. M. James, of Thomaston. He is survived by twenty-eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
