Crisp County News   December 24, 1939
                      OSCAR F. JONES DIES AT CONEY
     Oscar F, Jones, 64 year old resident of Coney in Crisp county, died at his
home Sunday night shortly after midnight.
     Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon from Ebenezer church, with
the Rev. G. T. Scott conducting. Interment was in Ebenezer church cemetery.
     Mr. Jones, long a resident of this county, was engaged in farming.
     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lula Jones; three daughters, Mrs. W. A.
Hurt; Miss Irma Jones; and Miss Nettie Jones of Cordele; Four sons, O. F. jones,
Jr. of Warwick; J. K. Jones and W. W. Jones of Cordele; and R. L. Jones, of
Finleyson; one sister, Mrs. Molly Hohnson of Cordele.
     Pall bearers were Curtis Tuker, Flournoy Hayslip, Carlton Hayslip, Jake
Hurt, Kenneth Thompson and J. B. Lewis.
     HArrison Funeral Home in charge.
