LAMB HELD Deceased Was 80 Years Old--One Son Survives Him Funeral services for Mr. Ira J. Lamb who passed away at 4:30 yesterday morning, were conducted from his late residence, 106-6th Street at 4:30PM. His pastor Rev. J. L. Drake conducted the funeral services. The deceased was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church. He was eighty years of age and had spent practically all of his life in this section. He is survived by one son, Mr. J. H. Lamb, a wife, two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. There were many beautiful flowers which bore silent testimony as to the esteem in which the deceased was held by every one. Interment was made in Sunnyside Cemetery. The following out of town people attended the funeral: Mr. Frank Lamb, Mr. Walter Lamb, Mr. G. C. Lamb and wife, all from Danville, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Crumpler and Miss Ella Waters from Macon, Ga.; Mrs. C. C. McKinney and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Collins, Vienna, Ga.; Rev. Frank Crumpler and Mr. Cecil Crumpler from Macon, Ga. The following gentlemen acted as pall bearers: Messrs. W. S. Murray, Jerry Slade, R. R. Haris, W. G. Webb, Frank Calloway and Jack Sheppard. Additional Comments: Ira was born 14 Jun 1853 to Henry Lamb and Allie Howell Lamb. His wife was Mary J. Waters Lamb who is also buried at Sunntside Cemetery. Georgia death certificate #4991.
