J. T. McAFEE Mr. James T. McAfee, died suddenly at his home in the Acorn Pond community, Monday morning at 12:05 o'clock, following a slight illness of several months duration, which was not considered serious. Mr. McAfee was a well known business man and farmer of this section. He was born and reared in the Acorn Pond community, the son of the late Terrell McAfee, a pioneer of that community. His death brought sorrow to his many friends. He was a devoted husband and father and a member of the Acorn Pond Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted from the Zion Hope Baptist Church, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, by Rev. B. F. Barbee, of Sylvester, assisted by Rev. M. F. Reeves of Warwick, Rev. A. B. Hosea, Rev. T. E. Pickren and Rev. M. A. Hall. The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth McAfee; five daughters, Miss Frieda McAfee, of Vienna, Misses Sara, Jimmie Lee, Quinitee and Majorie, of Warwick. Pallbearers were: Messrs. J. L. Odsom, Z. R. White, E. P. McAfee, R. M. McAfee, T. T. McAfee, and C. J. Posey. Interment was in the Zion Hope Cemetery. Dekle Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
